Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions we get from our hunting clients about planning a trip and hunting in South Africa with Bushmen Safaris.

Question:
Do I need a visa to visit South Africa?
Answer:
Only a passport is required for a USA citizen.

Question:
Do I need a permit to bring my bow or crossbow into South Africa?
Answer:
Not at all. Unlike guns, bows and crossbows are currently not regulated coming into South Africa. You simply pick up your bow and proceed through the customs area.

Question:
Do I need to take any special medical precautions?
Answer:
Some vaccines are suggested so we would advise you to reach out to your local health clinic to see what is necessary for you.

Question:
Do I need any special license to rent a motor vehicle?
Answer:
A passport and current driver's license is all that is required.

Question:
How do I get to you?
Answer:
Your point of arrival in South Africa is the O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg and you will be picked up at the airport by a Bushmen Safaris staff member.

Question:
Is there a charge for transportation to and from the airport?
Answer:
Your premium bowhunting package also includes round-trip ground transportation from the Johannesburg, South Africa Airport.
